What do sofas for a restaurant cost?

Rust red and brown velour bench seating with vertical seams against a brick wall in a café

A price quoted per linear metre is misleading until you know how many metres the particular room needs. That is the first thing worth working out, before you start comparing quotations.

What a linear metre is, and how many go to one table

A linear metre is the length of the piece measured along the seat line, whatever the number of people who fit on it. A table for four, with the guests on the sofa on one side, takes 1.2 to 1.5 linear metres, depending on the model and the seat depth.

On the other side of the table there are usually chairs, and the table top we choose from AMA 80 and AMA 100 or from PU LAM 60, 70 and 80. We take orders from 1 linear metre.

How we calculate corners and special shapes

The shape shows up in the price in only two places, and in a third it does not show up at all.

Shape How we calculate the price
Straight element price per linear metre
Corner element at a right angle same price, measured along the back and added to the total metres
Angle other than 90 degrees supplement agreed individually
Curve and rounded shape supplement agreed individually

A room with five tables for four along one wall is roughly 6 to 7.2 linear metres, corners included.

What the price per metre depends on

The price varies between models for two main reasons: the type and weight of the fabric, and the height of the back. A model with a low back in a simple fabric costs less than the same shape with a tall back in a premium fabric.

The difference between the base variant and the version with a taller back in the same family follows purely from the amount of material and the construction, not from the quality of the workmanship. We do not quote the prices of the fabrics themselves on the price list, because there are too many types, and we price them with the particular choice.

What it comes to in a concrete room

Take a room with five tables for four along one wall, that is, 6 to 7.2 linear metres, which gives five or six modules of 1.2 metres. The same room in two models looks like this:

Item BASIC PARIS
Price per linear metre from 1 500 NOK from 2 600 NOK
Modules per pallet 6 4
Furniture for this room 9 000 to 10 800 NOK 15 600 to 18 720 NOK
Freight on top, depends on the volume on top, depends on the volume

BASIC packs more tightly, because it is 50 cm deep against 70 cm in PARIS, so it is cheaper twice over: in the price of the furniture and in the freight. The same room, two entirely different budgets. That is why we first ask about the length of the wall on a price enquiry, and only then about the model.

Freight and payment, that is, the rest of the bill

The freight cost depends on the volume, and we work it out in the quotation. Delivery goes by forwarder, on EUR pallets. You can also collect the furniture yourself from the factory in Pszów in Poland, by arrangement.

For assembly you do not pay, because the furniture is drawn so that it is not necessary. If you would rather we assembled on site, we do it on request and agree it in the quotation.

Before production we ask for at least 50 per cent of the order value against a proforma invoice. The rest you pay before dispatch.

What a shorter deadline costs

For a shorter deadline you pay more. Fast delivery applies to black in standard sizes, and we give its price in the quotation, because it depends on the model and the length of the order.

The quickest route to a concrete figure

Measure the available length of the wall and call. One quotation that takes the fabric, the length and the delivery into account tells you more than your own calculations from a price per metre: 968 27 586.

Frequently asked questions

How many linear metres does a table for four need?

1.2 to 1.5 metres, if the guests sit on one side of the table.

Does a corner element cost more?

Not if the angle is square. We measure it along the back and add it to the total metres, at the same price. Angles that are not square and curved shapes we price individually.

What does freight cost?

It depends on the volume and is worked out in the quotation. One pallet takes six BASIC modules of 1.2 metres or four PARIS modules.

How much do I have to pay up front?

At least 50 per cent of the order value, against a proforma invoice. The rest before dispatch.

What is the minimum order?

One linear metre.

Is assembly included in the price?

The furniture is drawn so that assembly is not necessary, so you do not pay for a fitting team. On request we assemble for you, and that is agreed in the quotation.
