We build bench seating, chairs and small tables to the measurements of your venue, in our own factory, and have done so since 2005.

The depth decides how many tables fit

A café room is often three to four metres wide. Subtract a bench of 70 cm along one wall, a table of 60 and a passage of 90, and there is not much left for another row.

That is why we recommend the shallow models here. BASIC and PARMA are 50 cm deep instead of 70, and those twenty centimetres often decide whether the room takes one row of tables or two. If guests sit for a long time, with a laptop and lunch, PARIS at 70 cm gives the back better support, but it costs floor.

All three have the seat 43 cm above the floor, for tables at normal height. The minimum order is one linear metre.

The bench under the window

Many cafés have the window as the best argument for a seat, and then the back cannot stand in the way of it. We keep the height of the back below the window sill instead of moving the piece somewhere else in the room.

Give us the height from the floor to the sill and we adjust the back. BASIC at 75 cm and PARMA at 80 cm pass under most sills as they are, and where it is needed we build lower. Under a window the fabric is worth a thought too: direct sun fades colours over time, and dark shades show it more clearly than light ones.

Small tables and chairs for the bench

A bench needs a table that is easy to move when two guests turn into four. We use the PU LAM 60, 70 and 80 series, where the number is the size of the table top, and AMA 80 and AMA 100 where the room takes larger tables.

Chairs and tables we make in 7 to 14 working days, faster than a bench sewn to measure. The finished chairs stay with us until the bench leaves production, and everything travels on one transport. The café gets the whole set in one day and pays for one delivery.

The colour can come from the room instead of from the sample book

In the bakery and café Kaffel in Gliwice the sofa stands along a listed tiled wall, and the bottle green colour was taken straight from the tiles. The order was the reverse of the usual one: first the room, then the furniture.

The chairs there went in a salmon shade, deliberately in contrast, but from the same velour collection as the sofa. The shades stand against each other while the texture is the same, and then the pairing does not fall apart into two pieces that happen to stand next to each other.

At Cafe Beluga in Bonn it went the other way: one continuous chesterfield sofa in deep red velour along the whole wall of the main room, with the module division set by the wall rather than by the catalogue size.

Coffee, milk and sugar make their own demands on the fabric

Wear is rarely the problem in a café. What leaves marks is spillage: coffee, milk foam and syrup, several times a day in the same places at the edge of the table.

None of the fabrics we propose for serving venues sits below 40 000 Martindale cycles, and most pass 100 000. We send samples within one to two working days after the call, picked out for your venue, and we recommend testing a stain with your own cleaning product before you choose for the whole room. We also have fabrics with various certificates, depending on what the venue requires.

We do not furnish the outdoor seating

We make upholstered furniture for indoor use. Neither the fabrics nor the construction are built to stand outside through a Norwegian winter, so for the outdoor seating we point you elsewhere.

We say that straight away, rather than letting it show after one season.

What we need in order to quote

Give us the length of the wall, the width of the room and the height to the window sill where the bench will stand. If you have a floor plan, send it. If you do not, photos with measurements written on them will do.
