Hotel furniture for the lobby, breakfast room and restaurant

We have been in the furniture trade since 2005 and deliver more than 50 complete orders a year, from a single armchair to the whole restaurant floor of a hotel.

The lobby is divided by furniture, not by walls

A lobby has to stay open and still give groups somewhere to sit on their own. That is solved with back height rather than partitions: bench seating 120 cm in total height creates a zone without closing the room visually.

PARIS MAX and NICEA MAX are made for exactly that. Both are 70 cm deep with the seat at 43 cm, and they differ only in the back: vertical channels against a smooth surface.

For seating groups that stand free in the room we use the STILETTO armchair and the LIPS sofa, both from 8 700 NOK per piece, and CHESTERFIELD from 13 000 NOK per piece where the zone should read as a lounge of its own.

The breakfast room has the shortest and hardest routine

Breakfast is three hours of full turnover, every day, all year. It is the part of the hotel where furniture wears out fastest, and at the same time the part the guest remembers best, because that is where the daylight falls.

Bench seating along the wall solves two things here. It gives more seats on the same floor area than chairs on both sides of the tables, and it makes cleaning faster, because the floor under a bench is continuous instead of being broken up by chair legs. A seat at 43 cm and a table top at 75 are the measurements we use, the same as in the restaurant.

Certified fabric where the building requires it

We choose fabrics with a certificate where the use of the venue requires it, and we also have stain resistant, water repellent and easy clean materials. Which requirements apply in your building is decided by the building’s own documentation, and we match the choice to it.

None of the fabrics we propose for serving venues sits below 40 000 Martindale cycles, and most pass 100 000. Physical samples we send before production, so that both the architect and the investor see texture and colour in real light rather than on a screen.

The architect’s fabric, our production

For the four star Hôtel Royal Beaulaincourt in Béthune we made the whole fit out of the restaurant floor: sofas, bar stools and ottomans. The shapes and measurements we drew for that interior, and the covers we sewed in alcantara the hotel sent us themselves.

That is a common situation in hotels. The material is chosen by whoever is running the whole interior, before the furniture maker has even been contacted. We sew in fabric supplied by the client, and we are just as happy to quote from a technical drawing as from a description.

A hotel is refurbished in stages

The lobby, the breakfast room and the restaurant rarely move at the same pace. One section is done this year, another in two.

So we record the fabric, the colour, the shade number and the measurements of everything we deliver, so that the next stage can be matched to the previous one. If you are opening several houses at once, we reserve the fabric from a single production batch for every site straight away: furniture fabric is produced in batches, and a batch ordered six months later can differ in shade from the first.

Modules are drawn for the way into the building

We make the modules up to 1.4 linear metres, as standard 1 metre or 1.2. The length comes from the doors, lifts and stairwells the furniture has to pass through on delivery day.

The lead time is four to six weeks from the moment payment is registered, and chairs and tables take 7 to 14 working days. Larger deliveries travel on our own vehicle, so the whole set arrives in one run and unloading can be set for a time the operation allows. You do not need to order assembly, but we will do it if you want us to.

What we need in order to quote

Send the floor plan of the area to be furnished and tell us which zones it is divided into. If the architect has a technical drawing or a room schedule with fabric choices, we quote from that.
