BARI is the model of ours that screens the guest best from the rest of the room. It is 113 cm tall and has closed sides, so the back shields up to shoulder height. From the next table you see the guest only once they stand up.
It suits pubs, pizzerias, clubs and other venues where guests stay a long time at the same table.

70 cm of back above the seat
That single measurement says a great deal about what marks the model out. From the seat to the top edge of the back there are 70 cm, so the back shields both the upper body and the head of whoever is sitting, not just the lower back.
For comparison, the sofas in the PARIS family have around 52 cm above the seat, and the low BASIC 32 cm. BARI therefore gives considerably more screening than an ordinary restaurant sofa.
In practice that means two tables set back to back work as two separate rooms. It gives more privacy, less visibility and a clearer sense of separate zones.
Closed sides, a complete screened zone
Most of our restaurant sofas consist of a straight back with a seat. BARI also has full side panels running from the floor all the way up to the height of the back.
Placed on its own it forms a screened alcove with nothing else needed. You do not have to put up screens, panels or planters to separate a table. The piece does it itself.
The sides have one more advantage that customers remember a year later. The wall behind the sofa stays cleaner, because the guest never touches it with shoes or clothing.
65 cm depth, and what that means for freight
BARI is 5 cm shallower than the sofas in the PARIS family. On one piece that counts for little, but on an order of 20 metres it gives a whole square metre of extra floor in the room.
A shallower piece also packs more tightly on the pallet, which can mean lower freight costs on large orders than for models at 70 cm depth. The freight cost depends on the volume, and we work it out in the quotation.
We make modules of up to 1.4 metres, so that they pass through ordinary doors and stairwells.
Two colours on one piece
In our catalogue photo BARI has a black cover with a red band running horizontally through the middle of the back. That is neither a paid extra nor a special version, just an example of what the construction makes possible.
The back divides into three bands: vertical channels at the top, a horizontal bolster in the middle and vertical channels on the seat. Each of those bands can be covered in its own fabric.
Customers use that in two ways. Some go for strong contrast, such as black against red in a sports pub. Others choose two shades of the same colour and get a pattern that only becomes visible close up.
What separates BARI from the other models
| Model | Depth | Height | Back above the seat | Price from |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| BASIC | 50 cm | 75 cm | 32 cm | 1 500 NOK/linear metre |
| PARIS | 70 cm | 95 cm | 52 cm | 2 600 NOK/linear metre |
| BARI | 65 cm | 113 cm | 70 cm | 3 200 NOK/linear metre |
| PARIS MAX | 70 cm | 120 cm | 77 cm | 2 900 NOK/linear metre |
BARI and PARIS MAX cover much of the same need, but each in its own way. PARIS MAX is taller and deeper, and therefore gives better comfort for people sitting a long time. BARI has closed sides, which gives more privacy, and it is the only model that creates a complete screened zone with nothing added. If the guests are to sit screened off, BARI is the only piece in the catalogue that creates such a zone on its own.
Frequently asked questions
What are the measurements of BARI?
Depth 65 cm, total height 113 cm, seat 43 cm above the floor. The standard lengths are 1 linear metre and 1.2 linear metres, but we can make any length and shape you need.
What does BARI cost?
From 3 200 NOK per linear metre. That is the highest price per metre in our catalogue, which reflects the closed side panels and the tall back above the seat.
What is the lead time?
Roughly four to six weeks, counted from the moment payment is registered, not from when you sent the enquiry. The choice of colour and fabric does not change that deadline.
Does BARI suit a position against a wall?
Yes, but then you lose much of the advantage. Closed sides and a back of 113 cm make it a piece that screens off a zone in the middle of the room. Against a wall that advantage is wasted, and a model from the PARIS family comes out cheaper.
Can I order BARI in one colour?
Yes. The division of the back into three bands stays, because it follows from the construction, but we cover the whole piece in one fabric. The seams then read as texture instead of as a colour pattern.
How many people sit per linear metre?
At a table for four with the guests on one side we count 1.2 to 1.5 linear metres per table. For longer continuous runs the same calculation applies.
Do you make corner elements?
Yes, at the same price per metre. The corner is measured along the back and counts towards the total number of linear metres. Curves and rounded shapes need a pattern of their own, so we price those individually.
