CHESTERFIELD is the only piece in our range whose price is set by the handwork, not by the cut of the fabric. The buttons drawn into the diamond pattern have to be fixed one by one by hand, and that work cannot be done faster by machine.
We make it for clubs, restaurants, hotels and pubs, always to the measurements of the particular room.

We give these measurements as the starting point for the conversation. Depth and height we adapt to what the venue needs.
The seat at 45 cm is 2 cm higher than in our restaurant sofas. The difference looks like a detail, but on a piece you stand up from after two hours, a higher seat means less effort as you rise. The same rule applies to hotel chairs.
80 cm of depth is a piece for sitting a long time
Our restaurant sofas are 70 cm deep, and the BASIC family 50 cm. CHESTERFIELD is 80, and is the deepest upholstered piece we make.
That difference has a concrete effect in a venue. At 50 cm the guest sits upright, close to the table, eats and leaves. At 80 they lean back and stay. So CHESTERFIELD is used in zones where time at the table counts for more than turnover: VIP areas, lounges, cigar rooms, hotel lobbies, cocktail bars.
If you are planning seats at tables where you serve dinner, a piece 70 cm deep is both cheaper and more practical.
The height of 85 cm and what follows from it
A back of 85 cm screens a seated guest up to shoulder height. That is enough for two tables set back to back to stop seeing each other, and for the conversation at one not to carry to the other.
Nor do you have to put up any wall. In the Hype club in Szczecin the CHESTERFIELD sofa separated the VIP area from the rest of the room by its shape alone, with no partitions and no curtains.
Sofa, bench seating or booth, one construction
CHESTERFIELD has no fixed shape, because it has no standard length. It can be made as a straight run along a wall, as a corner, as a U around a table or as a single seat for four people.
In the Hype club we set up 7.1 linear metres in a U layout, split into 1.5, 4.1 and 1.5 linear metres. Red velour, capitonné over the whole back, a smooth seat.
Corner elements are measured along the back and charged at the same price per metre. There is no separate supplement for the corner. Curves and rounded shapes need a pattern of their own, so we price those individually.
What the price covers
The price covers capitonné on the back, high resilience furniture foam and fabric from our range. The minimum we use is 40 000 Martindale, and most of the fabrics sit above 100 000.
The freight cost comes on top and depends on the volume. The furniture arrives in modules of up to 1.4 metres, so it passes through ordinary doors and stairwells. Assembly is not necessary, because the construction is made so that you can set it up yourself, but on request we come and assemble everything on site.
When you should not choose this model
Fast food with high turnover. Capitonné collects crumbs between the buttons and needs more thorough cleaning than the smooth NICEA or BASIC.
A very cramped venue. 80 cm of depth plus the table and the passage takes more room than a narrow space allows.
A budget counted in metres. If you want as many seats as possible for the money, our restaurant sofas give considerably more seats per krone.

What separates CHESTERFIELD from an ordinary restaurant sofa?
Three things. It is 80 cm deep instead of 70 and has a seat at 45 cm instead of 43, so the guest sits deeper, higher and stays longer. And it has capitonné instead of machine stitching, which you see from the other end of the room.
Does capitonné make cleaning harder?
In normal operation, no. In fast food, where there is a lot of bread and chips on the tables, a smooth seat without buttons is quicker to wash.
Can I order CHESTERFIELD in my own fabric?
Yes, we also sew in fabric supplied by the customer. We can impregnate the fabric and obtain a certificate according to the requirements of the venue.
