PARMA is an angular shape set on visible legs. The back runs straight, flush with the seat, with no break between them, and the edge of the seat is square. The whole form is covered in one fabric, from the top of the back all the way down, and only below that do the black legs begin, lifting the piece off the floor.

That is a different language from BASIC, where the back is a separate rounded cushion, the edges are soft and the piece sits low on almost invisible legs. PARMA reads as geometric, BASIC as soft.

Visible legs change how the room feels

Under PARMA the floor is visible along the whole run. The room therefore feels lighter, especially in a cramped space where a piece standing right down on the floor forms a heavy, unbroken block along the wall.

It also has a practical side in the cleaning: under a piece on legs you can get in with a mop, under a shape sitting low you cannot. In a serving venue, where crumbs collect under the seats, that is sometimes a more important argument than the look.

Measurements and price

The depth of 50 cm means six modules of 1.2 metres fit on a pallet, not four as with models at 70 cm. Over a longer run you see that in the freight cost.

PARMA goes with fast delivery

Alongside BASIC this is the only model we have with fast delivery: black and the standard size of 1.2 linear metres, up to three working days plus freight.

The piece is then built from scratch, only faster, so it applies to one standard of colour and size. That is the answer when the opening date has been announced and the furniture has not been ordered yet.

Four variants of PARMA

All four have 50 cm depth. You are choosing between the type of stitching and the height of the back, while the construction is the same.

Construction and fabric

Foam with a density meant for continuous use. A piece in a serving venue takes dozens of people a day, year after year, and cheap foam loses its spring after a few months at that rhythm.

Fabric for serving venues we choose with an abrasion resistance of at least 40 000 Martindale, and most of our range sits above 100 000. We put together a sample package for the particular venue.

Where PARMA fits well

Restaurants and pubs where the room already has its own character and the seating should write itself into it rather than compete with it. Venues where the run goes along the wall and is visible along the whole length of the room.

If the piece should divide the space clearly, take the MAX variant with a 100 cm back. If the room is cramped and the price per metre matters most, BASIC with a smooth back will do.

Lead time and ordering

We take orders from 1 linear metre, and before production we ask for at least half the value against a proforma invoice. Corner elements are measured along the back and charged at the same rate as a straight run.
