For the four star Hôtel Royal Beaulaincourt at 22 Rue du Tribunal in Béthune we made a complete fit out for the restaurant floor: sofas, bar stools and ottomans. The shapes and measurements we drew for that particular interior, and the covers we sewed in alcantara the customer sent us.

The customer came with their own fabric

We have alcantara in our samples, but this particular one did not come from us. The hotel had chosen the material before contacting us about the furniture, and sent it to us for production.

Sewing in material supplied by the customer is routine for us, not an exception. It happens most often when a design office runs the whole interior in one collection and does not want to leave it at the seating. A hotel is a typical case here, because the upholstery on the restaurant floor has to hold the same level as the rest of the building.

Someone else’s material changes the way we cut

From our own fabric we can reorder the metre that is missing. From fabric sent to us we cannot, because the customer bought what they bought, and there is no guarantee that the next batch has the same shade.

So we plan the cut from the exact quantity we received, before we cut the first element. We lay out the parts so that a reserve is left for a possible correction, instead of using the material to the last centimetre and hoping nothing goes wrong. On an order abroad that counts double, because a new consignment of fabric from France to Poland is not a matter of one day.

A hotel is judged in the first few minutes

The guest walks into the lobby and forms an opinion about the standard before reaching reception. The furniture in the common areas then works as a calling card, not as equipment.

That is why we make a complete fit out for hotels, not individual seats. Sofas, bar stools and ottomans in one material hold one level of finish through the whole zone. A perfectly chosen sofa, next to bar stools bought separately in a different shade, ruins the impression more effectively than if neither had been there.

How we run an order abroad

The process is the same as at home: measuring or a floor plan, a proposal for the segments, an approved quotation, production, transport to site. The difference lies in the logistics, which we plan from the address and the installation time, not in the design work itself.

Besides France we have furnished venues in Germany, Czechia and Hungary this way. On larger orders we arrange transport with a full vehicle from a forwarding company, so the whole delivery arrives in one run and unloading hits the hour the building allows.

Are you running the interior in one collection?

A design office that has chosen the fabric and does not want to leave it has an easy route with us. You send the material, we sew, and the shape of the furniture we agree exactly as on an order from our own sample range.

Say in the first conversation how many metres of fabric you have, because that decides how we lay out the parts and whether the quantity is enough for the planned fit out at all. We take orders from 1 linear metre: 968 27 586.

Frequently asked questions

Do you sew furniture in my own fabric?

Yes, sewing in material sent to us is a normal service. That is how the furniture for Hôtel Royal Beaulaincourt came about, where the hotel supplied the alcantara.

How much fabric do I have to send?

It depends on the model and the length of the run. Tell us at the quotation stage how many metres you have, and we will work out whether it is enough, and lay out the parts with a reserve for corrections.

Do you make furniture for export?

Yes. Besides France we have furnished venues in Germany, Czechia and Hungary. The design work is identical to a domestic order, only the transport logistics differ.

Do you match bar stools and ottomans to the sofas?

Yes, and in hotels that is the standard, because the whole seating zone has to hold one level of finish. In Béthune the delivery covered sofas, bar stools and ottomans in the same material.

Do you have alcantara in your range?

Yes, we have it in our samples. In Béthune the customer had chosen the material before contacting us, so we sewed in their alcantara instead of proposing our own. Beyond that we have high quality velour and faux leather in the sample range, all with an abrasion resistance of at least 40 000 Martindale, and most above 100 000.
