At the club Hype in Szczecin the furniture had three different jobs in one and the same venue. The main room needed seating that survives night operation, the VIP area a piece with a different level of finish, and the themed rooms shapes that exist in no catalogue. All of it came about together with the interior architect behind the club’s concept.

Three zones, three different jobs
The main room got PARIS, our model at 70 cm depth and 95 cm total height, set up as the element that orders the whole layout. The construction stands there under the load night operation brings: guests sit down and stand up all night, and the room is washed daily.
The VIP area had to stand apart from the rest of the club without walls being put up. That was done by CHESTERFIELD with capitonné, which differs from its surroundings in shape and finish enough for the boundary of the zone to read by itself.
It took 7.1 linear metres in a U layout, split into 1.5 lm, 4.1 lm and 1.5 lm. The piece is 80 cm deep, 10 cm more than the sofas in the main room, and that difference is what makes people stay longer in VIP. The back at 85 cm screens the guest up to shoulder height.
The VIP rooms were a task of their own, and the most individual of them all.
The VIP rooms have themes, not colours
Every room got its own theme, and the furniture came into being for that theme, not for a colour palette. One of the VIP sofas is made in Moulin Rouge style, in a red buttoned cover. Another part of the club has an oriental fit out with a mural of its own, and the seating there is matched to it in shape and finish.
The furniture for these rooms has no counterpart in the catalogue, because it was created from scratch to a design worked out together with the architect.
We drew the fabric pattern too
In the VIP rooms it did not stop at the shape of the furniture. For that interior we developed a furniture fabric of our own, drawn specially for the purpose.
That is the furthest reaching form of bespoke work we do. Usually the customer chooses from our samples, of which we hold hundreds, or sends in their own material. Here the pattern came into being from scratch, together with the shape of the furniture, as part of one interior concept.
How a project like that runs
The order is the reverse of a catalogue order. It starts with the concept for the shape of the furniture, then comes choosing and drawing the fabric pattern, and finally production and installation in the finished room.
It takes longer than choosing a model from the website, and we agree the deadline individually once the design is approved. For comparison, ordinary production to measure, based on one of our models, takes four to six weeks from the moment payment is registered.
We sew in our own workshop, so the architect speaks directly to whoever does the work, and a change of shape or measurement at the design stage needs no renegotiation with a middleman.
