Naleśnikarnia 2.0 at Rynek 20 in Bytom serves pancakes in a new way, and the interior had to keep up. There we made a continuous row of seats based on BOX I, carried along a lit brick wall, in bordeaux faux leather, that is, in a colour far from the standard for this kind of venue.

Black faux leather is the default choice, and precisely for that reason invisible
In fast food black is chosen by reflex. It is safe, it hides most things, it suits any interior, and nobody will be blamed for it.
The price of that safe decision is that the piece stops saying anything about the venue. A room with black seating against a brick wall looks the same in Bytom and in any other town. Upholstery is at the same time the cheapest place to change that, because it requires nothing else in the room to be touched.
We proposed leaving the template, and the customer went with it
The recommendation came from us. A venue serving pancakes in an unusual way deserved an interior that does not hide behind the safe choice, so instead of black we proposed bordeaux.
The customer trusted the recommendation and chose bordeaux. You can see the result in the photos from the finished room: the seating plays with the lit brick instead of leaning on it, and the venue stands apart from competitors who go for muted colours. We advise this way on every order where the customer asks for our opinion, and not only for the price.
Faux leather holds up every day with pancakes
The colour was a bold choice, the material definitely not. Faux leather with food served with syrup, cream and fruit works for a simple reason: the stains come off with a damp cloth, without soaking into the structure.
Velour in the same venue would have meant more careful cleaning and slower running. Every fabric and faux leather we propose for hospitality has at least 40 000 Martindale, and most of our range sits above 100 000.
A run along the brick wall
The seating goes in one run along the whole length of the wall. Physically it consists of modules of one metre or 1.2, maximum 1.4 linear metres, because that length passes through ordinary doors and stairwells.
We set the division into segments from the length of that particular wall, and we placed the joints where they do not show. BOX I has a plain shape without decoration, and against lit brick that works in its favour: the piece does not compete with the texture of the wall, it only gives it an even, strong line underneath.
